The Board Network (TBN) is very pleased to announce that on April 1, 2006 we merged with the Portland-based Institute for Civic Leadership (ICL).

We continue to provide the same high-quality nonprofit board education opportunities across the state; and remain dedicated to building stronger boards of directors throughout Maine. We have combined our growing networks on behalf of our communities, and are able to more fully train, support, and connect leaders from all sectors to each other, to issues, and to leadership needs in the community.

• Nonprofit Board Workshops: half-day workshops on nine different board governance topics held throughout the state
• Board Matching Program:  trains and matches prospective board member candidates to appropriate nonprofits.
• Statewide Conference on Board Governance: designed to provide nonprofit boards and staff members with resources, information, and tools to help organizations improve their board governance.  
• Consulting Services: in strengthening nonprofit boards through a combination of assessment, on-site customized training, and facilitation of capacity building processes, and in collaborative process design and facilitation; leadership and team development; and strategic planning.
